If you have a calendar app that accepts incoming calendars but cant reshare the calendar out to others then its a massive missing feature.

User dont want to jump between 2/3 apps to view their calendars your feature sharing is already good enough just allow us to share the OurCal to external calendars as well..

We’re currently evaluating different apps for managing shared group calendars, and OurCal really stood out with its privacy-focused approach – something we greatly value.

However, a critical requirement for us is that all group members can RSVP to events and see their accepted events in their default system calendar app – ideally via a read-only ICS feed or a dedicated calendar synced to their device. It would be great if this could be configurable: show all events, accepted only, or both.

Having events siloed in a separate app just isn’t practical for daily use, and unfortunately, this limitation is a dealbreaker for us.

We also looked into other apps like TimeTree, Howbout, PlanPop, GroupCal, and Flare. Howbout supports external calendar sync, but we’d still prefer OurCal for its design and privacy approach.
PlanPop and Flare also claim similar features, but both are unfortunately too buggy or unstable to be reliable.

We’d love to use OurCal if this one feature could be added – it would make it a complete and practical solution for group planning. Thanks!

I just found OurCal and it seems that this is the only feature that I’m fundamentally missing. I’d like to display our family’s calendar on a monitor mounted on a wall, so I need access to the calendar data including the people assigned to each event.

Great to see that this is being worked on! Any timeline yet?

@Alex Thanks for the upvote - we’re hoping to have outbound calendar sync out next month (July), including the people assigned to each event. Should be just what you need for your wall-mounted display. We’ll keep you posted.
